Helmets to Hives
At Helmets to Hives, we offer a season-long hands-on learning opportunity for veterans wishing to learn beekeeping. The program kicks off with classroom instruction, typically in March, and continues with hands-on training and community interaction throughout the remainder of the season. In Western New York, the beekeeping season typically extends from April through early November. Participants in the program will meet bi-weekly in the apiary to perform hive inspections and learn timely hive care techniques.
